SPRING TRYOUTS 2026

Our tryout process will mirror that of a typical baseball tryout where we will evaluate player’s speed, arm strength, fielding ability, and ability to hit.

Mandatory Tryout Meeting – Thursday, January 8th - This is a mandatory meeting for anyone that plans to tryout for the baseball team. This is not a meeting for parents. All attendees should make their way to the bleachers behind home plate at Warrior Field after school. We will start promptly at 3:20pm.

In addition to being academically eligible to participate, all players MUST also complete everything listed below by 8pm on January 15th:

*NOTE - If you are currently playing another sport at SGP, you cannot tryout for the baseball team until your current season is over. Contact Coach Ylda if you have any questions.*

FRIDAY – JANUARY 16, 2026

3:30pm-4:00pm – Check-In – Registration (at the concession stand)

4:00pm – Introduction

4:05pm – Tryouts begin

6pm - Players released

SATURDAY – JANUARY 17, 2026

9:45am – All remaining tryout players will participate in an intrasquad game.

12:00pm – Players released for the day
